Valentines Day Wooden Hearts <3 [Tutorial]


I <3 Valentines Day! A lot of people feel that it is a “Hallmark” Holiday..but I have always loved it! So I decided to get started on some of my Valentines day ideas! Here is how to make these way cute wooden blocks!

What you will need:
  • 4 Wooden heart blocks
  • Dark pink paint
  • Valentines day paper (4 sheets)
  • Adhesive
  • Vinyl Lettering ( I used my silhouette machine)
  • Embellishments

Step 1:
Paint Blocks

Step 2:
Cut hearts out of paper.
TIP: While your wooden blocks are still wet with paint press one of them down on the back of the paper you will be using. Not only will it give you an outline of what you will need but it makes it MUCH easier when using such an odd shape.

These are the four hearts that I cut out…

Step 3:
Once the paint is dry put a layer of this adhesive on the blocks and place paper over it..

Step 4:
Use embellishments

Place vinyl on hearts.

Family Home Evening

I got this awesome idea from Oopsey Daisy!! I put my own spin on it and LOVE how it came out!! It is a Christmas gift my sister and her family and I am so excited to give it to them!!
What you will need:
  • Wood
  • Door knobs
  • Drill
  • Pictures
  • Vinyl
  • Silhouette machine
  • Ribbon
  • Key chains
  • Paint
  • Mod Podge

Paint board:

Use a cricket machine or silhouette machine and print out: “FAMILY HOME EVENING”

Use a cricket machine or silhouette machine and print out: Music-Prayer- Game- Snack

Mod podge the words down on the board and let dry!

Get door knobs and place them on the board! Drill wholes about 1 inch from words!

Make sure you mark down when you made your project!!

Measure an inch from the top of the wood for three hooks for the back of the board!

Get tags and pictures of family members! Then get ribbon to add to tags!
