Stromboli Recipe

EASY EASY EASY! I made it for the Super Bowl and for a dinner for two with my best friend! Here is what you will need:

Stromboli Ingredients:
  • 1 Pillsbury Pizza Crust
  • Mozzarella cheese (8-12 ounces)
  • Pepperoni, thinly sliced (8 ounces)
  • 1 beaten egg
Roll dough out to about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick in an oblong shape.  It should be about 7-8 inches wide and 15-18 long.  It should look something like this:

Brush dough with beaten egg.  Place Mozzarella cheese down the center of the dough.  Follow pepperoni or your choice of meats! I think Stromboli tastes best with salty meats like salami. Top all with more cheese.   Be careful to leave plenty of room around the edges to eliminate mess in the nest step!

Bring up the long sides of bread and pinch together.  Pinch ends together.

Brush with egg.  Turn seam side down on a greased cookie sheet and brush top with beaten egg. I made two of them!

Bake at 400 for 5 minutes.  Then turn to 350 and bake 15-18 minutes more.  Cool and slice.

I have also made it with a green salad!  I promise you--you won't be disappointed with this recipe!
