Well it is a brand new school year, my tenure year and I am super excited! I am teaching 4th grade co-teach this year and ready for the adventure and excitement the year will bring!!
Here are some of the awesome ideas I got from some of my favorite bloggers and Etsy shop friends! Pink and green was the way I wanted to go this year…the dollar store was a HUGE hit!
I started off by spray painting my filing cabinets! What do you think?? I love how they came out!

Introducing Pink Brush Strokes:
Pink Brushstrokes first started out as a hobby. My Mom & I started painting in our spare time in November of 2012 & loved how creative we could be with just paint & canvas! I had the bright idea to open up an Etsy shop & texted my Mom that day to tell her my plan. She was on board & Pink Brushstrokes opened up shop in May of 2013. It was perfect timing since it gave us something to do over the summer months that we were both off work. It was slow going at first but since we both work with teachers we had so many personalized canvas orders for the new school year that about a month into the shop being open, orders just took off!
We love anything chevron, polka dots, bold, bright colors & fun patterns, which you will see in our work! We paint everything by hand, no stencils or painters tape are used in our creations which helps with getting such sharp, crisp lines. We just recently started working with the canvas fabric so we're excited as to what creations we come up with!
We can’t wait to see what the future holds for Pink Brushstrokes! :)

As a special education teacher I am constantly pulling kids to the back table to reteach an topic or to emphasize another.
