Snowman Painted Plate

This is easy and a lot of fun! Everything is done on the BACK of the plate seems hard but if I can do it you can do it! (:

What you will need:
Glass clear plate

Process:
What you are going to write on the plate is the following:
I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…
1. Turn plate over and write it backwards sounds hard but once you start it does get easier!! Write the words on the rim of the plate. You can use black paint or even a thick black sharpie!

It doesn’t have to be perfect cause you are going to end up covering the back in all white so don’t worry about it being perfect!!
5. Now you are going to paint the top of the plate blue!

6. After this has dried you are now going to paint the whole back of the plate in white!

7. Last step make sure you write your name or initials and date on the back of the plate. If you decided to give it away they will always know who they got it from and when they got it!

Ideas:
  • You can make cookies and give to a neighbor
  • You can bake a pie and give to a friend
  • You can by a stand to display the plate and keep it or give it away
These are so cute and such a nice gift to give! Not only is it handmade but I am sure whatever goodie you place on the plate your family and friends will love it!!

Very cute. How would you wash this if you did serve food on it?

Hello! Thank you for your comment! I would hand wash the plate. The paint is on the bottom of the plate so by hand washing the front you wont scratch any of the paint of. I would be gentile when washing the back (don't use any hard abrasives on it. Do not put in your dishwasher...my husband didn't realize and he put it in our dishwasher and after the wash was complete I had a clean clear plate afterwords with all my other dishes with paint on them lol..not fun!

Hope this helped!! =)

He's so cute, it would almost be a shame to cover him up with food (unless, of course, it was Christmas cookies!).

Darling! And your directions and photos are so clear. I think I could work on a template for the writing and have my third grade granddaughter make one. Thank you for taking the time to create this tutorial.
